Old Catalog and the New Catalog...

Hello Everyone!  So this is going to be really short today as I have a ton of things to do before tomorrow, which is what? The first day of the new Stampin' Up! Catalog!!!  Woohoo!  I am so excited you have to check it out as soon as you can there are some really cool new items!  You can check it out here http://www.stampinup.com/us/enu/22124.asp tomorrow.

Right now you will find the current catalog which you can still order from but only until late this evening!  So look now and contact me ASAP if you are interested in ordering or just go to my website using the link to the right.  Some of the items are already not available so hurry and complete your order before 11:59pm MST tonight.

Since some, a lot, of the product in the current catalog is retiring today I can start selling any of the items that I have tomorrow.  So I will be having a Retirement Party!!!  Now, I don't have a TON of stuff as I am still a new  demonstrator, but I do have a medium sized boxed of stamps and embellishments that I have barely used that I will be selling at a minimum of 50% off.  Here is a sneak peak at what I will have available!

Don't miss out on some great deals!

Hey, and don't forget to comment below and subscribe to the left so you don't miss a post!

...as.promised...last four cards!

So here they are - the last four cards from the SWAP I did over a week ago!

This card is using the Sweets for the Sweet stamp set which is adorable! I love the pinwheels!

I LOVE the ribbon/bow on this card! I don't know how she made this bow so perfectly!  And the Designer Frames Embossing Folder is one of my favorites!  You can use it in so many different ways - I just love it!

Now check this one out!  It is a pot of flowers!  How lovely is this?  The flowers pull out for the note on the inside.  Very Crafty!

A Bird House!  A BIRD HOUSE card!  What?  How creative is this?  I love how one bird is peaking out and one is sitting at the front of the house.  I love the wood stamp to make it look like a real wood bird house...just LOVE it!

So that is the end of my SWAPS! I hope you enjoyed the cards that I received as much as I did.  Tomorrow is my anniversary so I did make a cute little card for my husband that I will share with you soon.  I also had a wonderful little workshop this past weekend and I would love to share the gift card holders that I made for the hostess and the ones that we made at the workshop.  So keep an eye for those in the next few days!

Until then...

Back from Memorial Day Weekend!

Hello Everyone!  I hope everyone here in America enjoyed their Memorial Day weekend!  It was just beautiful here in my hometown.  Well let's see what else we have from the SWAP...

So yellow and orange aren't usually my favorite colors but I like the way they look together on this card.  It's very simple yet I LOVE it!  It looks like the demonstrator who made this card used a "tapping" technique on the edges of the flower to make it have an orange edge on he petals.  Very crafty!

Very simple, yet very cute.  You can't really see it in the picture, but the Summer Smooches DSP (Designer Series Paper) that is matted is what actually flips up to open the card.  Very unique idea!

I LOVE the colors on this card and the design.  Again, very simple yet VERY cool!  The Manhattan Flower embossing folder is one of my faves and you can't really see but the red flowers were wet embossed making them look VERY cool!

Be sure to look out for next time so that you can see the last four cards that I received at the SWAP. Two of them are EXTREMELY unique and very crafty, so don't miss them!  Until next time...

almost done...

Yes I am still going with the pictures of cards I received in the SWAP!  Isn't that so exciting?  And I still have more to show you!

This one we actually made during the meeting as we always have M&T's (make and takes).  I learned a new way to make a bow with this card and a new technique although I can't remember the name of it.  Very cool!

How cool does this card look?!  It literally looks like a doily on top!  This is also another card that we made for a M&T and also has a new technique I have never done before that I think is called reverse embossing.  This is what makes the doily look 3-D.  Very cool!  I am definitely getting some doily stamps and making more with this technique.

This is one of the cards I received in the SWAP.  These colors are so summery (is that even a word?) - just adorable!  I love the label framelits that were used.

Well I am off to enjoy the Memorial Day Weekend with my family!  I hope you all have a great weekend!

some more cards...

Just a quick today folks...some more cards from my SWAP on Sunday...

I LOVE this cute thank you card!  I have never seen the Just Believe stamp look so cute! LOVE it!

I love the color coordination on this card.  The colors are perfect together!

Now this card was done using the baby wipes technique...I think.  What a cool effect!

Off to finish prepping for my class tonight just in case someone shows up and prepping for a workshop on Saturday.  If you are interested in hosting a workshop and getting free products contact me!

Until next time...

SWAP cards...

Hello Everyone!  So as promised here are the first two of a handful of cards I received from the SWAP at yesterday's Demonstrator meeting.  Now, since these are cards that other people have made I don't know the details on them...sorry!

How cute is this card?  Now when I have looked in the catalog and seen these balloons, I've thought, "Eh I don't really know anyone that is into hot air ballooning...", but how cute is this!?!  I love that this demonstrator used the cupcake builder punch for the clouds - how crafty is that?!  The sky is definitely the limit!

This is an adorable little thank you card using the summer smooches paper and the blossom punch that was in the Occasions book that ended April 2012, however, I have seen the new catalog and IT IS IN THERE!

This is definitely one of my favorites...I LOVE these colors together!  So flippin cute! I love the polka dot embossing!  I love the beautiful bow and need to learn how to make them this perfect! I love it all...

I will be sure to post more pictures tomorrow.  Please make sure to come back to see more of the cards.  And don't forget that I am having a card class on Wednesday!  If you are interested in attending please contact me ASAP!!!  Until next time...

Prom Pics...and a rainbow card!

Hello everyone!  So first things first...PROM pictures!!

My girl and her Prom Date, the infamous Dan, showing off their shoes....

Can you tell they are drama kids?

...the drama and poses continue...

I love this picture of these guys!

Well anyway, you didn't come to my page to look at prom pics!  Once a month I go to one of my Demonstrators meetings and there is always a SWAP and a challenge.  Even though last month I made the 24 cards it takes to participate, something came up and I wasn't able to attend, so this month was the first month that I was able to participate in the SWAP and I was so excited!  The theme this month was "summer" - make a card that makes you think of summer.  So here is what I made...

I know that rainbows can pretty much happen whenever, but when I see rainbows I think of sun showers in the summer, so I just had to do a rainbow card.  About an hour into making them I regretted going with this design...well only a little.  It's very time consuming and tedious, but I just love them.  Don't you?

Well of course with doing the SWAP with everyone that chose to participate I got lots of really cool cards!  Come back tomorrow to see some of the cards.  Until then...

PROM Day!

So today is my oldest daughters prom - how exciting is that!  I remember my prom like it was yesterday and remember how special and exciting the day was for me.  So as she gets ready and beautified with "Kardashian Curls" (?is that even a thing?) I am sitting here making some cards for different occasions and getting ready to prep for my class on Wednesday.  I will make sure to post pictures from Prom tomorrow, in the meantime, please check out this cute baby shower favor I made for a friend of mine...

The favors were actually filled with Hershey Kisses (and of course Hugs!) instead of M&M's,  but you get the idea.  So the baby shower was Pooh Bear themed and Stampin' Up! (R) obviously doesn't have Pooh Bear stamp set, so I had to improvise a little.  I found this cute picture of Pooh with the little bumble bee and thought it was perfect because one of the decor sets for the baby's room is Pooh Bears' Itty Bitty Bees!  The colors that I picked also matched the comforter! These were actually very time consuming due to having to color in the pooh bear and the distressing on all edges of every piece of CS, but I completely think it was worth it because these are just adorable.

I just love these little bags for tons of different occasions: little surprises for someone special's birthday; small gifts for those amazing teachers in your children's life; small gifts for hostesses, favors for showers and other special celebrations, like graduation!!!; I could go on and on with different ideas.

If you need any ideas feel free to contact me!  I would be more than happy to sit with you to figure out favors, or invites, menu's programs, thank you's etc for your special occasion.  Until next time...

Birthday Wishes...

Hello everyone!  Below you will find a cute birthday card that I made at a demonstrators meeting.  It's actually a gift card pop-up card!  There is this little slip of DSP (Designer Series Paper) inside that holds the gift card and pulls up when you open the card - how cool is that!?!? Check it out...

This is the card closed, that green ribbon obviously would just be wrapped around the card and tied in a bow.

You see that blue and coral DSP?  That's what holds the gift card and when you open the card top it pulls up!  Cute huh?  I love it!  It's such a great idea!

Tomorrow will be an adorable Get Well card that I made for some family members.  Until next time...

Two more cards!

As promised...here are the other two cards that were in the box o' cards....

This one has a nice little envelope on the outside of the card with a surprise note that you can pull out. So cute

This was my first time pleating (is that even a verb?) ribbon...I think it worked out pretty good!

Well that's it for now!  Until next time...

Mother's Day is coming!

Mothers can look through a child's eyes and see tomorrow.
Mother's deserve the credit for raising value based leaders who accept responsibility;
who possess physical, mental and spiritual strength;
who possess courage, and confidence; and look with optimism to the future.
Great mothers help their children to recognize that they can achieve the impossible.
Great mothers bring the arms of comfort to an insecure child in the world of uncertainty.
Reed Markham, American Educator

Being a mom is the hardest job in the world.  Moms are responsible for - raising our future!  Hardest job in the world?  I think so! But, definitely the BEST job in the world!

In honor of all of the mothers out there trying their hardest to make sure their children have everything they need to grow up to be strong, independent, responsible adults.  I recognize and respect every mother that takes this job seriously and truly puts everything they can into doing their best at this extremely important job, especially given the world we live in today, where distractions are so much easier to come by.  Please check out this video...

Did you know?  The most important popular flower on mother's day is the carnation!  It is the symbol of honor and respect on mother's special day.  To all of you wonderful, caring and loving mothers out there - you know who you are...

Happy Mother's Day!

Yesterday I said that I would be featuring Mother's Day cards for the rest of the week.  Now, all of these cards could be used for just about any occasion.  Unfortunately, being a new demonstrator and not having an unlimited amount of money to spend, I don't have a Mother's Day stamp, so you could really use any stamp you want on these.  Here is card #1 for Mother's Day...

Paper: Whisper White, Riding Hood Red, Everyday Enchantment DSP
Ink: Soft Suede (for distressing), Riding Hood Red
Stamps: Best Yet (Retired), Mixed Bunch
Accessories: BIG SHOT!, Perfect Polka Dots and Designer Frames Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Extra Large Oval punch, Blossom punch, 3/4" circle punch, antique brads, Riding Hood Red 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon

Don't forget to come back tomorrow to check out my nest Mother's Day card!  Until then...
